You will also be sent a questionaire, which helps us to gauge certain things more
accurately in advance. Please try to answer all the questions you feel comfortable with.
Feel free to leave blank those which do not seem appropriate,
or to which you don’t have an answer.

Uli will personally determine the level of each participant during the Academy.
There is no grading system in place, although this may change in the future.
If you like, you can send us a CD of your work or your playing. This will
be helpful to assess a students’ abilities and will assist in the process of
selecting players for the ‘Super Jam’ and the concert on the day before.
The choice is purely at Uli’s discretion.

A team of players whose musical judgment Uli’s trusts will preselect the cds
and forward those to Uli directly who are the most promising.
Exeptional students may be given slightly preferential treatment in the sense
that more time may be spent on their teaching. But this is absolutely of benefit to all
involved, because we learn a lot quicker in the presence of those who know more
than we do, as long as we are prepared to listen and learn from them.

To show mutual respect also to less advanced students is of paramount
importance. Everyone who is serious about learning should be made
to feel welcome by all. There should  always be a sense of
community and co-operation at Sky Academy.
